I want to buy a telephoto lens for my camera (panasonic dmc-fz18) and am a little confused. Its been reccomended that I get a telephoto converter lens but when i read a description of what those are for, it says “Still Photography”. I want a telephoto lens specifically for sports photography …so what should I be looking for exactly? Maybe I’m looking at the wrong type of lenses? is there a difference between a telephoto converter lens and a telephoto lens? Tn Pts. Thanks!!!

“Still Photography” simply means a still photo camera. Its not made for use on video cameras.

Your camera is a fixed lens camera so you will only be able to use a telephoto converter. Typically telephoto lens means it fits on a camera which has the ability to completely change lenses although some converter sellers refer to converters as lenses.

So I decided to get a canon vixia s100 for my camcorder to film skate videos. However, I’m still in lack of knowing what fisheye lens I should get for it and if the lens is even compatable! Help with finding the right lens for my camcorder is very much appreciated:). Thanks guys!

Did you mean Canon VIXIA HF S100? If yes, here are fisheye lens that compatible with it.
