information about Camera filters?

Question by wacka wacka wacka: information about Camera filters?
I do not know anything about them. Don’t judge, I’m learning. Where can I find the best deal on them and what are some of the advantages of them other than protecting your lens. Also, what kind of affects can they do to your pictures?
Yahooansers– Successful in hosting a site for a bunch of smart arses…thank you, all of you for always correcting me. Actually there are NO camera filters.

The filters are used on the lenses, not the camera.

The UV filter is mostly used to protect lenses front elements from sticky fingers.

The polarizing filters are used to remove reflections when shooting outdoors during the day and can darken the sky north and south of the suns arc.

ND filters are used to increase the shutter speed to times long enough to produce blur during the day, like having moving water look like cotton.

That is it.

Any white balance is done in a digital camera camera.

If you are using a 35 mm film camera, then you will need warming or cooling filters depending upon the film you have in the camera and the light falling on the subject

Example: FLD is a filter used to correct for fluorescent lighting when using daylight film. The FLB is used to correct for fluorescent lighting when using tungsten (type B) film,.

Hello =) Thanks for reading

My question is, what do you think about Pentax K-5? I’ve read a lot of reviews, but haven’t really found some bad sides of it and I don’t have any experience with Pentax cameras =)

The Pentax system including the K-5 is a fine system

If you are NOT ever planning to go pro, you will have decades of enjoyment using its cameras and lenses.

Here is what Thom Hogan has to say about Pentax

“Pentax: Last year I wrote: continues to plug along the same path as before and continues to get the same results. Hmm. I don’t think I need to rewrite anything here ;~). Yeah, finally deciding to ship the 645D worldwide was a good idea, but shipping 100 or so high-end cameras to the US at the end of the year isn’t going to solve Pentax’s major problems. Now that Nikon’s not driving Sony’s sensor production, Pentax is going to be looking for sensors, too. My guess is that they’ll be the first Aptina customer. Hope that sensor performs.”

This tells me that Pentax is still a viable system, but not a leader in technology, except that the K-5 has an excellent performing sensor, competing very well against both Nikon and Canon at those camera levels. You will not be spending less money for their cameras or lenses, but they do have high quality products.

Worried About Digital Cameras: Have a Look Before You Buy

It is really difficult to decide which camera I chose when there are many options available. If you are in a mood to buy your first Digital Camera or just want to add a new one to your collection in a reasonable price that makes your money worth then Canon PowerShot SX130 or IXUS 220 HS would be one of the best choice.

I am one of the fan of Canon Cameras and have captured superb high quality photographs with their Digital cameras. Here we take a look of Canon PowerShot SX130 IS to the IXUS 220 HS. Now you have a question in your mind that whether or not the Canon IXUS 220 HS Price is worth the upgrade from the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS. No worries just take a look at these two amazing cameras and see what they have qualities.

As you have a look at the different digital cameras from first level to enthusiast then as a professional, the cameras obviously increase in price and become more sophisticated. Typically the autofocus and exposure metering systems improve. The higher-end cameras will also shoot much faster and have more settings that can be controlled by the better photographer and give higher resolution.

As you consider about Image quality and their Sensor quality are two important considerations for all level of photographers. The Canon IXUS 220 HS is a stylish 12.1MP ultra-compact with CCD sensor type. This is the same sensor that is featured on Canon PowerShot SX130 IS. The PowerShot SX130 IS is also equipped with 12.1 megapixels CCD sensor. As the resolution increases, images become sharper and allow us for better editing in Photoshop and other photo editing programs. You will get the ability to enlarge prints and crop even maintaining wonderful images with higher resolution for display or printing. The better sensor in these two gives better performance at higher ISO settings and even in low light situations. You will see much lower noise, an improved dynamic range, better tonal ranges and amazing color sensitivity.

The main differences between them are their weights and dimensions. IXUS 220 HS weighs approx. 141g (4.97oz.) (including battery & memory card) and approx. 122g (4.30oz.) (Camera body only) and has Dimensions 92.2 x 55.9 x 19.5mm (3.63 x 2.20 x 0.77in.) CIPA compliant while SX130 IS weighs approx. 308g (10.9oz.) (including the battery and memory card) and approx. 260g (9.17oz.) (camera body only) and the dimension is 113.3 x 73.2 x 45.8mm (4.46 x 2.88 x 1.80in.) CIPA Compliant. This makes Canon IXUS 220 HS more easy to carry.

Now the important question asks to yourself which digital cameras meet to your requirements while both are capable to capture all your wonderful memories during your tour and add some beautiful moments to your life for forever.

Check out which one will match to your requirement whether Canon IXUS 220 HS or PowerShot SX130 IS that worth to your money.
