At a minimum, it’s a great starter kit. I will update my review as I try different filters. Regardless, everything works as expected and I would purchase this product again. There are other filters that may be better (Singh-Ray, Lee) but these are a great value. The kit comes with 3 filters in soft folders, the holder and a zipper case that holds it all. You do need to buy the adapter sized for your specific lens.

    A great deal!

First off, this is a great value. I looked up the value of each of the three filters, and they’re over sixty dollars apiece. And the filter holder is another sixty. So for a one hundred sixty dollars you get two hundred forty dollars worth of equipment.

I don’t really care about the included carrying case. I put the filters, holder, and adapter ring in my existing photog backpack.

If you are new to Cokin, like I am, know that you need an adapter ring for each size lens (e.g. 58mm, 77mm) that you will be using with the Cokin. Putting the filter holder on the ring feels like something is going to break, but then it just snaps in.

The three filters, ND2, ND4, and ND8 are perfect for my usage. I’m able to use a combination of any two to get the look I want. In addition, I can adjust the graduation so the midpoint is anywhere in the frame. I was able to get some really great images right out in the middle of the day.

I plan to get more filters for cooling and warming effects to use indoors.
