Satisfied with it, I just can’t stop using this awesome scanner. Tried 35mm films and slides. The scanning quality is better than I thought it might be. Pictures come out really nice as long as the slide or film is good. Easy to connnect to my Macbook. Would recommend to everyone else.

I don’t know where the positive reviews came from but they don’t match my experience with this product. I have several thousand old 35 MM slides. I’ve been taking them to a local Walgreens to transfer to digital, but it is rather expensive and the lady is getting tired of seeing me because it takes time and extra work – but I was very satisfied with the ultimate result. So, anyway after reading the reviews I ordered this product. It would save me a lot of money and I have plenty of free time to do the slides myself. First surprise was that the directions were a little confusing, but I did figure it out. I was surprised that the scanner didn’t copy pictures directly to my new MACBOOK PRO via the USB connector. I had to drive 30 minutes to get a SD card to scan the pictures to, then insert the SD card in my MACBOOK to download the pictures. So, I loaded 4 slides – which was very easy – scanned the slides and then imported them in to the computer. Wow what a disappointment. They were so fuzzy I could barely make out who was on them. I tried several times and never got any better results. I double checked to make sure I had loaded the slides correctly and tried several more times with the same Bad results. So, I’m returning the scanner and taking my slides to Walgreens where I have to pay an arm and a leg to transfer them to digital but they look great. Bottom line – DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.

Easy to use. It will work great for newer negatives. My negatives were over 20 years old. Pictures were satisfactory–of course my pictures had scratches, missing colors, missing details, etc. But I don’t care –I was able to see my old friends and my life come back alive–remember my negatives are really old. I was ecstatic just to see my pictures again. Calculate the cost of having a camera shop convert them to digital — they could probably fix the pics. But I don’t have that kind of money. This works for me. If all you want is to convert your 35mm film to digital and view them –this scanner is good. Like I mentioned better quality 35mm negatives = better pics. Mine was really old — I really can’t complain. Easy function buttons too!!

    Instax Facts, July 23, 2013
    By

I looked for a reliable, classy-looking Polaroid camera as a wedding reception guest book. After thorough research, I determined Instax was cheaper and just as reliable, if not more, than the new Polaroid instant cameras. Both cameras function similarly and use the same film; yet Instax has better reviews and is cheaper. The 8S has a few extra bells and whistles: a clip-on lens for close-up pictures, light/dark and indoor/outdoor settings, the mirror on the front of the camera, and two shutter buttons for either landscape or portrait photographs. Also, the lithium batteries are not hard to find for sale online; I haven’t had to replace ours yet, but we know that availability and price would afford on inconvenience.
I have loved it; it was perfect for the party and I still use it frequently. The film is fairly inexpensive, so we continue to use it. The pictures are the size of a credit card with white borders, and the camera comfortably fits in a small purse. On our honeymoon, the good quality allowed us to take pictures of us in front of landmarks and beautiful areas. Also, a little mirror resides on the front of the camera to facilitate quick self-portraits, which can be taped later into journals as keepsakes. Learning which lighting settings work best in certain conditions took some trial and error, but every picture turned out vintage-y and fun, so no film was wasted.
One last word on durability: I didn’t have the wrist strap around my arm and accidentally dropped the camera on a ceramic-tiled floor. The film flew out of the back of the camera, but nothing broke off or dented. The camera still looks great and functions optimally, and I only lost the top film, the rest of the cartridge still printed great pictures. That was a while ago, and I haven’t had any problems at all!

I would consider this camera one of my best purchases of all time. I am totally in love with every photo that I take with it. It’s very easy to operate and absolutely worth it. I try to use it as often as I can! ♥

Amazing. Takes great pictures! It has lots of settings to play with. Comes out instantly. Only thing is it doesn’t come with film.
