Hi, I just wanted to say great video!
Thank you for keep it clear and honest!
Thanks for the question. I don’t have experience with the Fastpack but, it
looks similar to my Lowepro Slingshot. The Slingshot (and Fastpack) hold
more equipment with storage for a tripod. It also seems to hold a laptop.
The Photosport is a casual bag. I would not use it for ‘work’ because it
only has protective storage for one DSLR and one extra accessory. However,
it is incredibly comfortable. I could wear it all day and do jog in it. If
you need more equipment, the Fastpack may be better.
Does the Photosport 200 have space for a tripod? Seems the only downside is
the lack of dedicated tripod holder. And have you tried to fit items
between the bag itself and the camera compartment for the Flipside, would
that work?
The Flipside has a unique tripod holder. So different in fact, that it took
me a while to figure out how it works. It is unlike any of the other
Lowepro tripod mounts I have ever used. You basically sling one tripod leg
over the cross strap. That is what keeps it from falling. Then, two
overlapping flaps hold the tripod securely from movement. Logistically, I
see no size limit to the tripod the Flipside can hold. You will just be
limited by the amount of weight you want to carry.
Thanks for replying, I have a Velbon Sherpa 435 which has a folded length
of 60cm. Will it fit into the Flipside? Looks like I have to sacrifice
space so that I can have my tripod.
Which one would you recommend between the Fastpack 250 and the Photosport
200?
Awesome review. Thanks guys. =)
Hello and thank you for the question. The Flipside 15 has a smaller, less
forgiving water pocket. I had a two litre bladder BUT could only fill it
75%. Also, this particular bladder was narrow and soft. Meaning, I could
squeeze or bend it to fit around the zipper. A wide or rigid plastic water
bladder above 2L may not fit at all.
Hello and thanks for watching. The Photosport does not have a tripod
holder. I could manage a 12-inch compact travel tripod using the outside
pockets / straps. However, I haven’t tried and it isn’t ideal. Regarding
the Flipside: The padded compartment is already a tight fit within the
outer shell. Storing anything larger than a map would cause the padded
compartment to deform. I hope that helps!
Nice review, thanks. BTW you mentioned that the 200 can fit up to a 3L
water bladder even tho Lowepro only state 1L. What size can fit into the
15?
