3. Thanks for that in-depth review of the cameras features. There were a few
   things putting me off from buying it, but you’ve cleared those up! I’m glad
   that actually, you have the CHOICE of using the touchscreen or buttons,
   what a cool feature! I’m a complete novice at photography, but I’m keen to
   finally buy my first camera! And I think this is it!

   I suppose I could have gone with a Nikon Coolpix S9500 or something
   typical, but after having used a DSLR as part of my course, it has
   convinced me to buy something similar. However, being small and for the
   purpose mostly intended, I need something that isn’t as bulky to carry
   around, or as heavy to hold. Yet still capturing high quality photos, and
   the ability to change the various settings is definitely important. I
   think the ‘quick to focus’ and 360 degree rotatable screen is a huge bonus
   when using the camera for out-and-about photos.

   The only thing I’m still wondering is, what is this camera like for macro
   shots? Also could you shed some light on the ‘only buy Nikon or Canon
   cameras’? Because I’ve come across great reviews for cameras that weren’t
   either brands, so I don’t understand why most people share this view.

7. @davomrmac I’ve just bought the Lumix G3 partly due to your excellent in
   depth review. Just thought I’d mention that I bought it from Best Buy,
   Thurrock and it turns out Best Buy is closing down its UK stores. As sad as
   that is, it does mean there is a sale on and I got the G3 for £387 new
   (£457 on Amazon). Thanks again. Ryan

8. Thanks for an amazing walk through of the features on this camera! I’m in a
   bit of a pickle. Currently I can get this camera for about £50 less than
   the Canon 550D (600D is out of my price range). However, the price of a
   45-200mm lens for this is £74 more than a 55-250mm lens for the 550D. I’m
   really tempted to get this camera for the price/swivel screen, but the lens
   price lets it down badly as I will be investing in one in the future. What
   do you think of G3 lens pricing? Thanks again!

9. @benny353 No, there will always be optical. I think we will see a better
   implementation of add-on viewfinders.
