The Olympic Torch began its journey today from Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire at about 7:50am. The runners themselves were preceded by a number of police escorts and support vehicles. After running through the city, the torch is to be transported to Wilton for its next stage on the journey to Weymouth at the end of the day.
