This Nikon S9900 offers a very long zoom range in a surprisingly compact body, but there’s no overcoming the limitations of the small sensor, and the image quality isn’t great – you can’t shoot raw files, either.

    Points For:
    + 30x optical zoom range
+ Slim, lightweight yet solid build
+ Very effective Vibration Reduction system
    + Vari-angle LCD screen

    Points against:
    – Can’t shoot in raw quality mode
    – No built-in or optional viewfinder
    – Image quality is a little lacking
    – LCD isn’t a touchscreen

A good camera to compare to would be the Sony found here which matches the Nikon in all key areas: http://amzn.to/1xSkKOG

Image quality seems little dull and similar to smartphones. Although you can control sharpness and HUE and other settings by entering exposure compensation mode. It has great zoom and build quality is really nice which makes perfect for travel purpose only. If you own high end smart phone camera, like iphone 6 or galaxy s6, you might find your smartphone camera may be much better. If you need a optical zoom when travelling abroad in pocket size, this camera is for you.
