  1. Excellent video. Now I know the meanings of reflected and ambient light.
Also, the white hemisphere has to be pointed at the camera while being held
    below the chin…interesting.

  2. I have bought a Sekonic L-358, but I dont see any flash mode withe the T
(Radio transmitter). Do I need to buy anything seperate to get this to work
on my Flas meter? And what do I need in that case?

  3. hey Mark, what was the difference between the light meter and the camera’s
meter, was the camera’s metering almost accurate, over or under? My
apologies if you answered this in the thread already.

  4. @blueeyevisualize The camera´s meter works reflective while the handheld is
incident. You only get accurate results by using an incident meter. See the
other episodes part 2 and 1 for this topic or simply try to measure with
your camera an object with a black or white background. .

  5. If you want to measure the flash….no. It doesn’t work with a studioflash
as there is no data exchange between these. The flash only works manual. Av
and Tv measures the light before the studioflash is triggered and doens’t
“see” the flash then. However, you can use use your camera lightmeter to
measure the ambient light and then setup the studioflash by Hand with your
histogram. It’s more work but there are folks doing that…. …otherwise
use the TTL modes (i-TTL, E-TTL and so on)

  6. Call me stupid, but I have learned more in the last 12 minutes about a
lightmeter then I have before … Thank you Mark for sharing all this
    knowledge with us

  7. Great video…..and I really like Erika/ She is good on camera. She looks
into the camera and really looks at home. I hope she’s a successful model
    or actress by now.
