We aim to answer a question that we’ve been asked “which is better – the Canon EOS 7D or the Nikon D300S? They are teamed up with 24-70mm f/2.8 standard zoom…
Full review at http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Nikon_D300s/ . A 12minute HD tour around the Nikon D300s, the company’s latest semi-pro DSLR, featuring Live…
this is the second community reference ive heard on this show
both are good
I own a d300s right now, and just recently god a 7D for video. Fanboy-ism is goddamn stupid
normal strap on canon bravo!
For the comparison between canon 7d and Nikon d300s, 7d win in every aspect. I prefer 7d over d300s
…..streets ahead…..did kai just make a flipping community reference?
Absolutely Canon 7D
distracting double lines bokeh? omg lolz really?
Canon 7d can be brought for under 1000$ used!
this was the video where the straps must have tangled at the end of the video and the nikon strap ended up on the canon and vice versa. and then the multitude of complaints followed by ‘you must be new here’ ensued…
Hello, do you know “photo SFX art” (just do a Google search for it…)? On their website you will find a great free video showing how to shoot amazing pictures. It helped Daniel to shoot photographs that have that jaw-dropping-effect after you take a look at them. It may help you out too…
Nikon win for photo and canon for video
Nikon win for photo and canon for video
from where do,you get your cameras
canon always wins
Chris Pirillo…cough
D300s!
Competition makes each side improving better by overtaking each other every time they announce a new camera.
Without competition, one company may set just a lower standard for DSLR and never bother improving it.
wow, where is that??
WHO TOOK THIS VIDEO?? I THINK IT’S NOT KAI!
Canon is better, forever!
choosing a brand= choosing your religion
I know hasselblad is studio camera and etc. But even my D3100 outperforms it in low light ISO performance. 😛
Hello!
I was considering of upgrading to a D300s or a D7000. Which one would you reccomend? I have a D40 now and i wanted something semi-pro and the D300s looks a bit more “pro” than the D7000 to me.
What do you think?
Thanks!
Thanks a lot for the information. very useful website.
No problem! I have a guide to buying Nikon lenses at cameralabs . com – just go to the lenses section and go to the Nikkor lenses and the article will guide you through the best lenses for each style of photograph!
Hi thanks for the review I like the Way of your approach on each feature. Please provide me some information of good lens I can buy with this camera for portrait, Sport ,Landscape and for short films…
I really need some help with my 300s and this is my first DLSR, I’m looking for videos that show how to operate it. I have some learning disabilities so its better for me to learn from video and audio then just reading manuals. If you have any recommendations for this please can you let me know. Thanks
very informative, terima kasih!
Why isn’t there a review for the original D300 on your channel? Your vidoes always seem to be more informative and interesting than the others, so I was kind of disappointed when I couldn’t find the one camera I was looking for on your channel.
The reason im asking id that all the Photography store in my area only carry the D300s as special order, so i was going to go down and get a feel for both but.
Which is better for stills?
is this still how you feel about this question? I have the exactly same question but I have the cash saved up for the d300s and am planning to work during the summer to get back some money so i won’t have that much of an impact. I’m someone with tons of respect for his gear so would it be worth it to spend the extra cash on the D300s, as I’m pretty sure it will last long-time
🙂 it is the D700, yep, nothing beats a full frame. I gladly spent some more money and i´m VERY pleased with the results.
I would go for the D300s, really nice body packed with features altough it is a bit old now. Still, awesome. If you could, I would save for a full frame, maybe a Canon 5D MkII wich is now quite cheap because of the new model out.
The D300s was a great camera but it’s really getting on now, so unless you find a great price on one I’d consider the D7000 from Nikon, or the 7D from Canon. Actually none of them at that end of the market are brand new. There will hopefully be new semi-pro bodies this year if you can wait…
Hi, what would you recomend for an advanced amateur who shoots a lot, the d300s or the d7000? THX
Excellent presentation, No matter how you pronounce it the bottom line is it takes good pictures, and has outstanding reatures.
YOU SIR, ARE STUPID
of course, everyone has his own pronunciation, but there is ‘unwritten’ rule.
every thing that is made, should be called the way owners and company call it 🙂
IN THIS CASE, NIKON IS JAPAN CORPORATION, AND THEY CALL IT NEE-KON, not NY-KON, not NI-KON, but NEE-kon
I watch this video over and over again, i’m so looking forward for it :)
hi i want to buy Nikon 14-24Mm F2.8G Af-S Ed Zoom Nikkor Lense with this camera, is this a perfect match, i am amateur
DEAR SANTA……….
What a NIKON beast!! i have one and i love it 😛 Great for time-lapse photography. i just need to trigger it for time-lapse with this little remote TEMPUS. works with MEX 5, 5N and 7. website at: tempus.bymac.org
I can not agree more! Absolutely fantastic – especially because I just got the d300s just a couple of hours ago and thank god the review did not make make me regreting it one bit! Thanks for the review!
Thankyou! I am my own employer though – cameralabs is a one-man operation, so please support me!
I hope your employers know your worth; you are an ace broadcaster. I always come to you first and last before buying a camera.
Excellent review. There is one question I have. I currently have a Nikon D90. Is it worthy to upgrade to a D300s, or any other model. Your input would be most helpful. Cheers!
So, the d7000 does not make much of a difference with the d300s.Well, I AM NOT SURE!!!
