No, there is also a 70-300 from Tamron, that lacks (apart from several other features) the VC and a USD (but it has a focus-motor of course). It’s available for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the Price of the SP 70-300 VC USD.

Well i bought a 18-200mm tamron which is a good daylight lens, at night u really need an external flash. It’s a good lens for it’s money and does the job. But as i said i would only use these things in daylight
