the quality of the photos dont seem to come close to that of the common DSLR with a larger Body :/ but i love the slim body !!

What I hate about Sony is it’s a lot like Apple. Some things it does great but it forces you to do things in its own fascist, proprietary way. The ridiculous non-standard non-hot shoe for example. The a77 has a completely different non-standard hot shoe. WHY??????? Why not use a standard hot shoe like everyone else like the GF1 for example.
